Who would have thought that in just one click, it will be possible for you to find the guy who can make your heart beats fast?

            ‘You are now talking to a random stranger!’ this pops up everytime you use the most famous and favourite cyber love website called Omegle, an online dating website that is used not just in the Philippines but around the world.

            Omegle is a website developed by Leif K-Brooks on 2009 that instantly went famous not just in adults but also in teenagers.

            Just like how a seventeen year old ‘Gel’ meets the eighteen year old boy named ‘Ric.’

            “Kung sa lovelife, mahirap, matumal ang paghahanap ng lovelife sa website na yan kasi daming bastos ganun, pero madami din namang friendly, katulad ni Ric, sobrang bait nya kasi, as in sobra sobra,” says Gel.

            Gel and Ric continue to exchange conversation in the said website until they decided to give their celphone number and exchange names on messenger that make way for them to get to know each other well.

            From Lucena City to Ilocos Norte, their “Kumain ka na ba, bes?” turns to “Hi Love! Kumain ka na ba?” they check each other through video call and send a song through voice message, but then, just like any other relationships,destiny play its role and gives Gel and Rics’ relationship a major turn neither did they ever expect.

            Their relationship didn’t last long since Ric seems to realized that it is hard to communicate due to their distance, a reason Gel knew on why Ric broke up with her.

            “Yun ang alam kong rason kung bat kami nag break, but little did I know, hindi naman pala talaga yun yung dahilan, the real reason is that.. Ric is suffering from Multiple Myeloma.” Gel says.

            According to mayoclinic.org, Multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Plasma cells help you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs but then rather than produce helpful antibodies, the cancer cells produce abnormal proteins that can cause complications.

            “Kung wala siyang sakit, it could have last until today or until the present moment, kasi strong naman kami, as in strong, tapos legal din kami, and super ganda talaga nung bond and relationship, sadyang yun na talaga yung time niya para umakyat sa heaven kasama ni Lord”-says Gel.

            After what happened to Ric, Gel chose to hold unto God and trust what he does, she also says that beside the sadness and loneliness that she had experienced, it also serves as a lesson and a memory that will never fade..

            “ It is a love that last but will forever be in my heart,” –Gel.
